Advanced production facility

FOMA’s production facility covers more than 15,000 square meters, spread over several plants organized to ensure efficiency, specialization and business continuity.

03 / History

A path built over time

1950s and 1970s
Origins

The company's early days focused on woodworking and the gradual transition to making metal components.

1980s and 1990s
Industrial evolution

Industrial evolution - Foma grows and becomes a reference point for its industrial district and for all of Italy for high-precision turning operations.

1990-1998
Growth and consolidation

In the 1990s the company expands its market and becomes a major player in Europe. In 1998, it opened the Armeno plant, doubling its production area to more than 2,500 square meters.

2001
Certified Quality

Foma obtains certification of its production system according to ISO 9001 standards.

2009-2013
Expansion and sustainability

In 2009, the expansion of the
Armeno plant was carried out, reaching a covered area of 4,500 square meters. In 2013, Foma certifies its production system according to ISO14001 standards for an increasingly environmentally conscious focus.

2016-2018
Innovation and new challenges

Foma introduces a new management system
fully integrated with its production by embracing the principles of Industry 4.0: connectivity, traceability and statistical process control.

2021-Today
Expansion and leadership

In 2021, the new Foma 2 plant, dedicated to the production of components for the oil & gas industry, is opened. Today Foma has more than 50 employees, more than 70 production machines and produces more than 50 million components each year.

Quality is the basis of FOMA’s productions and the entire production process, which is ISO 9001 certified. From selection of qualified suppliers, who can guarantee certifications and full traceability of raw materials, to controls along all processing stages, every activity is geared toward continuous improvement and reliability of the finished product. This is complemented by a commitment to environmental sustainability, supported by ISO 14001 certification, which guides the company in responsible process management and in reducing environmental impact.

Guaranteed compliance

Advanced instrumentation

Our air-conditioned metrology room, equipped with advanced instruments such as a durometer, profile projector, roughness tester and Zeiss 3D measuring machine, enables careful testing of every production. Statistical control ensures full compliance for the end customer by also monitoring surface processing performed by suppliers.
